Well well... I bought a black piece of paper, think I need to modify my indirect-ligthing but I like that..



And I managed to build the starting rope with handle... now its time for clean up and painting pieces...



Maybe I clone those laser blasters with messingtube and stuff...

Yeah! So much effort is put into superdetailing the kit and what about the figures? The pilot looks gruesome! Maybe I will go ahead and sculpt sometimes a more accurate version. Ya know, I am a figure fanatic.

Maybe I try to create a figure showing Stacy infront of her just crashed X-Wing (Blaster broke of and Landing gear is in trouble) with the gun in her hand... Return of Pink-5 V.1, timecode 7:47. Want to use a stock figure I have here around...

I'm going to have to dig my old drawings out for this model. Sat down and did some 1/12 scaled plans from my old Ertl kit years back but never got to do it. I love this particular model design; guess it goes back to sitting wide-eyed and awe struck (and 10 years old) in the cinema, watching Luke's ship blast chunks out of the Death Star.

Look forward to more of your progress on this, Benjamin.

So, I am going small steps, but they are the correct direction I think ..  

Here are some colourful updates with some Humbrol 200-pink from the can.. nice one..  

The start:




including some overspray and a straight pink-stripe the hole fuselage down on the left side...

The movie told me not to do a straight one but a broken one... and a yellowish nosepart and on the upper fuselage in the area of the engines some of the yellow, too.





Thats the status until now... by the way: I like those blasters...

So guys, whats next? At this point I need your advice as I am going to do this the first time...

1. filter with toned up/down main-fuselage-colour
2. future
3. decals
4. future
5. washings
6. filter for fitting the different tones and colours together
7. matt coat
8. mud and stuff from Dagobah
9. Stacey
10. Little pink Droid
11. Deathstar-Hangar Diorama...

Warum ist eigentlich das Rosa der Markierungen übersprüht über die Maskierung? Ist das beim Original Pink 5 auch so?

Benny - schau dir mal den Hellbezugswert von dem Pink + dem Hellgrau an ( funktioniert am besten, wenn du das Bild in S/W umwandelst )

Wenn kein Hell/Dunkel Kontrast zwischen der Grundfarbe + den Markierungen erkennbar ist, solltest du vielleicht das Pink noch etwas abdunkeln.

Dann verschwindet auch der Flimmer-Effekt.

Bei Gelbtönen ist diese gefahr auch immer gegeben, weshalb man oft schwarze Outlines anbringt.

ich hatte mir wenig Gedanken darüber gemacht, da die Karre ja eh total eingesaut wird... aber gut zu wissen. Vielleicht richte ich da noch was nach..

Es war auch echt anstrengend brauchbare Bilder zu bekommen.... echt jetzt

Haha wow, das blendet! Könnte in der Tat etwas mehr Kontrast gebrauchen aber auf Fotos sehen ja gerade solche grenzwertigen Farberfahrungen (so nenn' ich Rosa jetzt einfach mal ) immer etwas anders aus als in echt. Aber ja, ich glaube das wird was.

Nee, hab keinen Screen.. aber ich denke auch, dass sich das relativieren wird wenn der Fighter geheavywashed ist...

Schau dochmal im Video, im Teil: Return of Pink Five, V1. Ab ca. der Mitte auf dem Todestsern, vorher auf Tatooine allerdings auch. Der Schlitten sieht halt aus wie ausm Sumpf gezogen..
