anti grav demo model
« am: 05. Oktober 2011, 23:40:54 »
As I pushed the TT trend for this groupbuild, I might as well do something with it.

I wanted to make an open ball, as a sort of museum display piece.

One hour into building:

And the idea (imagine it suspended from something, like a museum model)

Busy with the ringception part (ring in a ring in a ring)

Going for a gyroscope thingy:

Sorry  :P, didn't know that was yours, I though you were going with the development version?

That's why I tell my kids to write their names on stuff they don't want to lose or share ;P

Nah :/
Have a look who started the thread at BK you got the hint with the gyro from ;)
Anyway: Great to see your approach - pretty sure mine will be different a little bit :)

Ha, that's true, the gyro idea came in part from the ma.k forum thread, that was you?
Other part was simple deduction of a 3d rotation possible machine fitting inside a globe ;P

I'll rename the thread, Gyoscopic antigravity motortm all rights reserved by Struschie ;P

hehehe

Figures, maybe, I don't have much in 1/20 and only 1 casual figure I think... I'll see after I finish the display

When the kids go to sleep tonight I'm doing the support bars inside the dome parts of the Gyroscopic antigravity motortm - all rights reserved by Struschie

And maybe attaching the second ring and antigrav unit of the Gyroscopic antigravity motortm - all rights reserved by Struschie

Just need to figure out a nice display stand for the Gyroscopic antigravity motortm - all rights reserved by Struschie

Kiddies didn't want to sleep, then the wife came home and needed attention....

Did some support bars of the intact dome this morning, hopefully some more tonight.

If I'm allowed ;P

Thanks   ;D

I thought about it, and a way that you might lift gravity is using gravity inducing engines and letting them rotate against each other (one clockwise, the other counter clockwise) assuming you can steer the directionality, you should stop gravity at that point.

So the engine in the middle represents the coils needed for anti-grav power, and should counter rotate (but I glued them before I thought of it that way  :0 )

Soooo.... when are you going to do some more on your antigrav thingy>?

After superball?

Added some shielding mesh stuff to the sphere.  was going to go with small coils, but there was no space....
Also put some plastic on the rings, this fortifies them a little bit and looks a bit better, they might be counterweights for the cables etc. Or maybe contain measuring devices, magnetic countering or whatever ;P

Jupp - right after! But checked some pictures of the Event Horizon 'Black Hole Gate Highway to Hell'.. hmmm    Though the Cern Approach... nah - your thread :)
Mesh looks cool...! Details on the circle also. Good places for some wirethingymeasurement. Great!!!
