1/24 hover bike thingy
« am: 05. Oktober 2011, 23:53:30 »
Started this a while back, when my wife found me a cheap (and very old) revell 1/32 Stuka.
I figured it would make a nice JTR style monobike, but a few spoons, some putty, random parts and a Yokoyama designlater, it ended up hovering instead.

It's not quite done yet, the surface isn't completely smooth yet, and I need to add some wires and cables still, but those I'll add after putting on the main colours.

I wanted it to be a militairy scout vehicle, but my son is buggin me to make it a racing bike.

The biker is still drying his putty, so he'll come later ;P

Someone at the Ma.k forum thought of this for colour, I like it. Just need to buy the right paints:

I hope to build another one soon using a zundapp for the seat as that will fit better with the overal design.
Maybe I'll prep it for casting as well, though I'd need to sculpt my own figure as well :-\

The Gulf Scheme is a modern classic

How about a military vehicle converted for racing or vice versa?
The older color could be seen through flaking layers :dontknow:

Me for I would go the shown way. Check for reference - the blue was much lighter.
Really dig that bash!!!

Thanks guys!

@ struchie, but I like this blue (I'm going for light sea blue from air vallejo)
I'm going certainly going for the racer scheme, but might make another one that'll be military.
Not sure yet.

Now I need to learn to sculpt so I can make a figure that is allowed to be cast :S
